Let’s just say… walking into a classroom this week has felt more like stepping into a greenhouse than a school!
For supply teachers and TAs, the heat has added a whole new level to the job. You’re navigating new classrooms, unfamiliar routines – and now, tropical temperatures too! But as always, supply staff have stepped up with resilience, flexibility, and a sense of humour.
This week, it’s been all about:
🍉 Making sure every child (and adult!) stayed hydrated
🌬️ Mastering the strategic positioning of fans
📚 Moving story time to the shadiest spot possible
🎨 Swapping high-energy tasks for calming creative ones
😅 And, of course, surviving it all without melting!
Whether you were covering last-minute sickness or stepping into longer-term roles, you kept the classrooms running smoothly through the summer heat — and we see you 👏
