I began working for TeachWell in September 2020, which was a difficult period to join (due to ongoing Covid 19 pandemic). At TeachWell they have worked hard to keep staff in work. Despite being new to them, I have been lucky to get several short term and daily contracts. They will listen to your needs and try to help resolve any concerns you may have. Communication with staff is good they are always quick to answer calls or messages. I was particularly impressed with their decision to help furlough eligible staff – despite this not being supported financially by the government. TeachWell make you feel a valued part of their team.

On taking early retirement from full time teaching in July 2019, I applied and was accepted as a primary school supply teacher by TeachWell. While the interview and vetting process were totally professional, I was made to feel at ease. I took an instant liking to Nathan and felt he took a genuine interest in me as a person and not as a name to add to a list! I have been provided with regular work with my wishes as to age groups, days available and even schools being taken into account at all times. I am a senior teacher and moved to Suffolk from Essex. When I first moved, I joined two teaching agencies who were very slow to get me up and running and when everything was completed, I did not get one job/ assignment from them. After a year I decided to look for another agency and found TeachWell, I wish I had found them sooner. I joined TeachWell after having a career break to raise my family. It’s been the perfect way to get back into teaching as I’ve had the opportunity to visit a range of schools and year groups, allowing me to re-familiarise myself with the curriculum and learn new teaching methods. TeachWell make the process of assignments hassle free – I let them know my availability each week and they get back to me with work placements as they come up. I’ve worked single days at different settings, two weeks at the same setting as well as longer term contracts eg. to cover maternity. I cannot recommend TeachWell highly enough. I returned to the UK from having taught internationally for seven years. I was due to take up another position overseas but, due to Covid, there were complications with the processing of paperwork, so I returned home to do supply for a year before deciding on my next steps. I signed up with four different agencies thinking that work would be easy to find but, with Covid, schools were being cautious about taking supply staff on. Despite this, TeachWell processed the paperwork (with great attention to detail) and issued ID badges ready for when work was possible. Within a few weeks, I had been asked to visit a school to meet the Head and was asked to start the following day. TeachWell negotiated a good salary on my behalf, and I was lucky to then be offered a permanent role from Term 2 onwards. Despite having a long teaching career, I had never done supply work before and had many questions but TeachWell were there to support, advise, explain protocol and liaise with their payroll company, when needed. Nothing was too much trouble. I fully recommend using TeachWell as not only did they find me employment, but they supported when it mattered. Enjoy your supply journey – you are in good hands!
