Description

Some of the Biggest Differences Start with the Smallest Moments.

The child who finally puts their hand up to answer a question.

The pupil who reads a sentence they couldn’t manage yesterday.

The little one who walks into school confidently after weeks of needing reassurance.

Sometimes, being a Teaching Assistant means celebrating the achievements that others might not even notice.

At TeachWell Ltd, we’re looking for caring, enthusiastic and adaptable Supply Teaching Assistants to support primary schools.

We offer temporary supply opportunities, including day-to-day cover, short-term bookings and potentially longer-term assignments, depending on school requirements and your availability.

Whether you’re looking for regular work or a few days that fit around your other commitments, we’d love to hear from you.

What Will You Be Doing?

Depending on the school and assignment, your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting teachers with daily classroom activities and learning tasks.
  • Working with pupils individually, in small groups or as part of whole-class activities.
  • Providing additional support for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism, ADHD and SEMH needs.
  • Encouraging children’s confidence, independence and engagement in learning.
  • Supporting reading, phonics, literacy and numeracy activities.
  • Helping to maintain a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Following school safeguarding, behaviour and wellbeing policies.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and other school staff.

Could You Be the Teaching Assistant We’re Looking For?

We’re keen to hear from people who:

  • Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or have relevant equivalent experience supporting children’s learning.
  • Have experience working with primary-aged children in an educational or similar setting.
  • Are patient, reliable, approachable and enthusiastic.
  • Can adapt to different classrooms, routines and learning needs.
  • Have good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Understand the importance of safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.

How to apply

Ready to Be Someone’s Reason to Smile at School?

You don’t need to change the world in a day.

Sometimes, helping one child feel included, understood or proud of themselves is more than enough.

And that’s exactly why great Teaching Assistants are so important.

If you’re ready to bring your skills, patience and enthusiasm into primary classrooms, we’d love to hear from you.
