Description
Are you completing your teacher training and looking for your first teaching role from September 2026?
TeachWell, based in Beccles, Suffolk, works with a wide range of primary schools across Suffolk and Norfolk and is seeking enthusiastic Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are ready to begin their teaching careers.
While many ECTs focus solely on securing a permanent position, supply teaching can be an excellent way to build confidence, gain valuable classroom experience and discover the type of school environment that suits you best.
Working across different schools allows you to develop your classroom management skills, experience a variety of teaching approaches and build a broad professional network. Many of our schools use supply placements as a route to long-term and permanent appointments.
Schools increasingly value candidates who have demonstrated adaptability, resilience and success across a range of settings. Supply teaching can help make you a stronger and more attractive candidate when applying for future teaching roles.
We are looking for ECTs who:
- Are completing or have recently completed a Primary PGCE, SCITT or School Direct programme.
- Will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Are enthusiastic, motivated and eager to develop their teaching skills.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
- Are adaptable and willing to embrace new opportunities.
- Have a passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
Some quotes from our current teachers:
"As soon as I had signed up, I knew that I had made the right choice. Nathan took the time to find out what I was looking for and, as a newbie to supply, I felt well supported."
"TeachWell have been nothing but helpful and supportive. I have been matched well to positions and schools based on my preferences and strengths as a teacher."
"I came away feeling enthused, excited and confident about my future in teaching. I have been provided with regular work and my preferences have always been taken into account."
"Returning to TeachWell was the best decision I have made. Their support has enabled me to rebuild my confidence and take control of my work-life balance. I leave work every day feeling valued and appreciated."
